Flint glass is clear and offers no light protection. This speeds up degradation once filled. Green glass filters some light but still allows wavelengths that impact cannabinoid breakdown. Amber glass filters more light but still allows visible light that impacts terpenes and potency. Miron glass blocks visible light. However, it lets beneficial UV-A and infrared light through. This provides the best light protection in glass.
A special mix of minerals is used to make Miron glass. It filters light naturally. It blocks most visible rays without any artificial help. However, it lets UV-A, violet, and infrared wavelengths pass through. This slows the degradation of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other active compounds after filling. You get better potency retention, a more consistent aroma, and a longer shelf life. Plus, there’s no need to change your formula or add preservatives.
Requirements vary by market. In the US, state regulations decide if child-resistant packaging is required. In the EU and other markets, it depends on the country's policy. Miron offers certified child-resistant closures that come with complete ISO 8317 and US 16 CFR documentation for all formats. Wide-neck Saturn jars (50 ml to 1 L) suit flower and pre-rolls. Ceres and Eris jars (5 to 50 ml) are designed for concentrates like live rosin, budder, and wax. Orion and Draco bottles handle tinctures, sublinguals, and oil-based additives. Sirius and Eris jars cover topical formats. Miron glass products are sold in standard safe packs. You only have to order one safe pack per order. For example, a Ceres 10 ml jar is available in packs of 72, and a Saturn 50 ml jar comes in packs of 42. Please place orders in multiples of these pack sizes. You can reorder our stocked SKUs more frequently from our EU and North American warehouses, which helps you avoid large upfront commitments.
