Miron® identifies products and services offered by Miron. It is not another name for violet glass, biophotonic glass or glass packaging generally. “Violet glass” describes a color and category of glass; Miron® identifies the commercial source of genuine Miron products.

That distinction matters. Consistent use helps customers recognize authentic Miron products, protects the reputation attached to the name, and keeps the brand from being treated as a generic product term.

Trademark

Miron® is a brand, not a type of glass

What the ® symbol means

The ® symbol signals that Miron is registered as a trademark in one or more jurisdictions. The Miron trademarks are registered in a great number of jurisdictions worldwide.

How to refer to Miron correctly

-Use Miron® or Miron® on the first or most prominent reference on a page or in a publication. The symbol does not need to appear after every later mention.

-Use the brand with a clear generic product term where appropriate, for example “Miron® glass,” “Miron® violet-glass packaging,” or “Miron® glass containers.”

-Spell and capitalize Miron consistently. Do not write the trademark as “MIRON,” change its spelling, translate it, abbreviate it, or create a new compound such as “Miron-glass.”

-Use Miron only to refer to genuine Miron products. Do not use the name as a substitute for “violet glass” or as the name of a product category.

Truthful references by customers, partners and the media

A truthful, text-only reference to Miron or a genuine Miron product may be made when it is necessary to identify the company, or product and the reference is accurate, fair and not misleading. The reference must not imply sponsorship, endorsement, certification, affiliation or approval that Miron has not given in writing.

Your own company or product name should remain more prominent than the Miron name, and the surrounding wording should make the relationship clear. Examples such as “packaged in Miron® violet glass” or “compatible with Miron® glass containers” should be used only when factually correct and supportable.

Uses that require permission or are not allowed

Unless a written agreement or specific Miron permission says otherwise, do not:

  • use the Miron logo, icon, artwork or distinctive brand presentation;

  • place Miron branding on products that were not originally offered and sold by Miron;

  • incorporate Miron into a company-, trade-, product- or service name, trademark, domain name, app name, social-media account, profile or alias;

  • alter, animate, recolor, crop, redraw or combine a Miron trademark asset with another name, logo or design;

  • use a confusingly similar name, logo or presentation, or suggest an official relationship that does not exist; or

  • use the Miron trademarks in a deceptive, unlawful, defamatory or disparaging manner, or in a way likely to dilute or damage the brand.

Licensed users, authorized resellers and partners must also follow the terms of their agreement and any current Miron trademark or partner guidelines. If those terms are more specific, they take priority.
