We Are What We Drink
The wonder that is the human body, the simply amazing fact that it is about 60% water. Not so surprisingly, you absolutely cannot survive without drinking liquid, with water being the best thing to drink. Fluids in your body are responsible for digestion absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature. If you’re low on fluids, your brain immediately triggers the body’s thirst mechanism. And you should listen! Did you know that experts believe that over 70% of the people in Europe are dehydrated. In other words, the body loses more fluids than they take in.
Hemp Oil. A Beautiful History, a Beautiful Future
Hemp oil, in one word: amazing. First discovered thousands of years ago in Ancient China, it was prized as the ideal source of food and nutrition. High in protein, vitamins and essential fatty and amino acids. However, that’s not all that makes it amazing, the wonder is in the many, many other surprising uses. For example, the first ever paper made in China was created with hemp, and it’s still used today. Also, in days gone by, wooden ships crossed the vast oceans powered by great sails made from hemp.
Jojoba. The gold of the Incas
Goat nut. Deer nut. Pignut. Quinine nut. Coffeeberry. Wild hazel. Gray box bush. Simmondsia chinensis. This evergreen desert shrub has many names, but you probably know it as jojoba, meaning “the gold of the Incas”. It grows in the southwest of the United States and the north of Mexico. It wasn’t actually discovered by the Incas, it was first used by the O'odham Native American tribe, for food and in oil form to help with a whole multitude of ailments. From wound healing to sore throats and kidney disorders and everything else in-between.
The power of a product label
Think for a moment about how many different products there are in the world. Even taking just one industry, like natural healthcare, there are literally millions of products vying for your attention. According to Harvard Business School, over 30,000 new products are launched every year and 95% of them fail. Now, more than ever, the right labelling is vital to success or failure.
Well-being starts with your skin
What you put on your skin is absorbed and enters your body. Therefore, every skincare product you use can have a positive or negative effect on your health and well-being. That means you need to know exactly what’s in your products and how it affects you. These days, that’s not as simple as it sounds. Where many products have an endless list of ingredients in unreadable small print on the packaging. Or on a leaflet inside. What to do?
For Skincare, Prickly Pear Isn’t Prickly at All
In fact, it’s a wonderful gentle ingredient for silky smooth skin, whatever your skin type. That’s because of its anti-aging properties. And not only smoothing properties, but also soothing properties. Products containing prickly pear oil are excellent for acne-prone, dry, sensitive or inflamed skin.
The Mystery, Necessity and Beauty of Vitamin C
Everybody has heard of vitamin C, but surprisingly there are many things we still don’t know about this vital vitamin. Especially about its effects on our skin and the human body. There has been surprisingly little scientific research into this subject. Though the clinical studies that have been carried out have demonstrated that vitamin C can improve skin tone and texture, hydrate the skin and reduce the signs of aging. It seems that adding vitamin C to your skincare routine not only brightens your complexion, but also protects against skin damage caused by the sun (UV rays) and air pollution.

The circular economy aims to extend the life cycle of materials and products with the ultimate goal to use it infinitely. Its life cycle starts again as it ends, and that is exactly what happens with glass.
