About the role

What you’ll do

Miron and Calaso are expanding in the European cannabis and CBD industry. We are looking for a proactive Business Development Representative to help develop this market segment.

You will work closely with our in-house cannabis expert in the United States and our Business Development team in Europe. Your goal is to build a strong understanding of the European cannabis market and turn that knowledge into commercial opportunities.

You will identify prospects, industry partners, trade shows, and networking opportunities. You will also gather insights into customer needs, packaging developments, market trends, and the competitive landscape.

Your primary focus will be outbound business development. You will generate and qualify leads, build relationships with prospective customers, and connect qualified opportunities with the Sales team.

You enjoy prospecting and building relationships in a fast-moving industry. You understand how to communicate with cannabis brands, manufacturers, and sourcing professionals, and you are confident introducing premium glass packaging solutions.

Germany is one of our largest markets in Europe, so professional fluency in both German and English is required.

 

About you

What you''ll do

  • Know the market
    Build a strong understanding of the European cannabis and CBD market, from customer needs and competitors to market developments and packaging requirements.

  • Find new opportunities
    Identify potential customers, partners, sponsorship opportunities, trade shows, product developments, and new lead sources.

  • Connect with prospects
    Reach out proactively by phone and email, follow up with prospects, and qualify outbound and event-generated leads.

  • Turn interest into opportunities
    Understand what prospects need, coordinate sample orders, and connect qualified opportunities with the right solutions and Sales team members.

  • Be part of the industry
    Attend cannabis and CBD trade shows and networking events across Europe, build your network, and turn new connections into commercial opportunities.

  • Build lasting relationships
    Develop trusted, long-term relationships with prospects, customers, partners, and colleagues through clear and responsive communication.

  • Drive commercial growth
    Work toward individual and team sales targets and help turn qualified prospects into active accounts.

  • Keep things on track
    Maintain accurate lead activity, prospect records, and documentation in our CRM system, while following internal procedures and guidelines.

About you

What you bring

  • Fluent German and English
    Professional fluency in both languages, spoken and written

  • Cannabis industry knowledge
    Strong knowledge of the European cannabis market and experience working in or selling to the industry

  • Commercial experience
    3–5 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or a similar commercial role

  • A proactive mindset
    Strong prospecting skills and the drive to identify, develop, and follow up on new opportunities

  • Strong communication skills
    Confident communicating with prospects, customers, and colleagues by phone and email

  • An organized approach
    Able to manage priorities effectively, follow up consistently, and work well within a team

  • CRM experience
    Experience with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce

  • Willingness to travel
    Comfortable traveling throughout Europe to meet customers and attend industry events

Nice to have

  • Dutch language skills
    An advantage when working with colleagues at our headquarters in Hoogeveen
